MPAV9000 seem to have IR reciever

according to a bunch of forum posts, it seems as the common understanding was that the MPAV9000 did not have any IR capabilities.

I have had my MPAV9000 connected to my Avant(Master link) and controlled it via my remote/Avant...worked ok

Yesterday I bought the CD/Overture stand and placed the MPAV9000 on it and I started to notice some strange things.

    1. When I turn on my Avant, then the Doors of the MPAV9000 opens (and stay open) the whole time the TV is on....

    2. This happens even if the MPAV 9000 is NOT connected to the Avant!

it seems as if the MPAV does have IR reciever...and that this is activated when placed on the stand (there is a pin on the top of the stand that gets inserted into the MPAV)

This is a well known problem. The door sensors of the Master Panel are activated by the 100Hz of the Avant. There is a service-solution for the door-sensors to solve this problem.

Smile interesting idea, but the purpose of the pin is simply keeping the MPAV / Overture /... in the right position.

Definitely NO IR Sensor, but sensitive to electronic disturbance as described by Blackrix.
