  • Product history, where to find?!

Hi everybody Once I found a site where I could read the product history of Beo products. For example there was all bs9000 and bl8000 updates, the MK version history etc. It was simlpy perfect if you wanted to know what the difference was between a brand new and a oldie. Now, I can´t find it anymore. Was it the old Beoworld that I am speaking about

  • Re: The powerlink cables

Thanks for the pic! Ok, 5 pins then. When you look at a schematic, which of the pins are in use? Just like the 2nd schematic at http://www.beotech.co.uk/misc2.htm ? I have to make a cable that goes within my floor stands, or after a second thought I will ask some electric guy for help I don´t want any huming sound afterwards or any other unpleasent

  • Re: The powerlink cables

Ok, my manual to my bl4´s says that I am supposed to use mk3, so there´s nothing to argue about there. But what is the tech. difference between mk2 and mk3? The mk3 uses only 4 pins we are told, but doesn´t that make the mk2 to a better cable? 8 pins are more than 4.....

  • Re: The powerlink cables

Isn´t the mk3 "better" than mk2? For the apprentice, 8 pins wins over 4 pins. Is there something more to it? Regarding the floor stands, no problems... pictures will come. I am modifying the IKEA speaker floor stands, don´t rember the name of it. Looks like stainless but it´s a zink history.

  • The powerlink cables

How many pins are the powerlink Mk3 using? 4, 8.. etc? I want to build in a cable in my own made floor stands to my rear bl4. I checked some old threads in german, got them translated by Altavistas Babelfish, really cool stuff! Anyway... they never came with any answer thanks!

  • Re: Powerlink cables

Correctly guessed. My pair of bl4 are the rear speakers in my setup. A pair of bl8000 stands at the front. The setup is under construction, so the subwoofer and a center is to come. I made the choise to use Beo only for sound distribution (and for watching in hours =) which means that I´m using a DeToma X501 digital sound processor as "brain"

  • Powerlink cables

Hi! I am told that I am supposed to use Powerlink MK3 for connecting my pair of bl4 to my bs9000. If so, I want to make my cables by myself. Could I find the design somewhere on the net? I have found some design cheets, the problem is that I don´t know if it is MK1,2 or 3! thanks in advance

  • How to polish a pair of bl8000?

Hi there! It´s time to polish my pair of bl8000. I got some small marks at them, nothing deep, but quite noticable. How do I easiest get rid of them and get that sparkling finish at the same time? I read some threads in a garage-forum where they used rotary hammers and stuff, maybe a bit overkill for my precious. Autosol maybe? Best regards /Doman
