A further update: - I looked in the manual and it says that the RF Modulator should be switched to off if used with a link TV or ON if used in a link room with a non b&o or non-linkable TV - tried this but nothing happens. I think now it should be switched to off but that the problem maybe that the old TV was an MX3500 and was linked in through

Hi - It was on I and I've checked on both - I also tried B/G as I wasn't sure. Could it be the country setting in the engineers menu - both are on 16. It seems weird - even checking on the main TV and tuning to 599 I get the HIS - picture isn't clear but I guess that's because it;s not linked up. I'm wondering if it's a faulty

what kind if system are you using it with? - if it's a recent B&O one then it may not have a pre-amp built in and you would have to get a phono preamp and some leads. Not sure why it's not playing, unless it's not setup correctly

I have an MX3500 in mey bedroom linked via a ML Converter to a BS3000 and Avant TV in the living room and a Beolink Active in the kicthen. I use the timer for the radio in the morning and this works fine in the kitchen but the MX3500 switches on to the radio, the radio cuts out when the off time is reached but the MX3500 remains on with no sound when

I don't think it's vacume sealed, but there is a seal to stop dirt coming in and it seems to work very well as there was hardly any dirt but cleaning has made a difference.

Does anyone know if there is a way of removing the nti-glare screen in front of the Avant to clean the tube underneath - I did it a while ago on my LX when I first got it and got good results - just wondered if there was a way with the Avant or if it sealed. It's the non-rf 32" version.

Thanks again - foudn out it's shift 3 to change the SYS setting - but hadn't thought about unplugging the link cable - thansk for that - will give it a go tonight and hopefully all will be well.

Thanks for the reply - does anyone else know how I would change the SYSTEM setting to PAL I or BG? - can't seem to find it in the manual.
