    Avant - Cleaning the Screen

Does anyone know if there is a way of removing the nti-glare screen in front of the Avant to clean the tube underneath - I did it a while ago on my LX when I first got it and got good results - just wondered if there was a way with the Avant or if it sealed. It's the non-rf 32" version.

The procedure is outlined in the service manual which is on this site.

From what I have seen there are no non RF Avant service manuals on this site they are all for the RF versions. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Loosen the two big screw's thats placed in the bottom of the screen, then move the frame up and out. From there you can see what to do.

Re: Avant - Cleaning the Screen

I don't think it's vacume sealed, but there is a seal to stop dirt coming in and it seems to work very well as there was hardly any dirt but cleaning has made a difference.
