Replaced my aging (and a bit iffy) BS9000 with the Beosound 4. Its high up on a cabinet out of the way of the kids ( its a little to easy to unbalance if you're a 2 year old). But only have good things to say about it. I have the SD card loaded with the kids music and beoport for the N.Music from my mac. Elegant, unobtrusive and does the job . Not

Thinking of making the jump from my Mk I 28" Avant (12 years old) to a Mk V BV7-32. ... If everyone stops buying then you'll see the electronics makers go the way of some of the car makers - i'm not buying out of duty though, I've wanted a BV7 for a while and the MkV appears to hit the sweet spot for me. Just my two cents

Oh well - its not like Blu-Ray is a necessity internally - just hoping I could get a bit more added value ... i'll likely pair it up with one of the Panasonic Blu-Ray recorder & HDD. I just need to start thinking if there's a market for a 12 year old Avant (tube is only 18 months old). No space in the house - guess its back to good ol'

I'm definitely happy to get the BV7-32 as long as it also has DVB-HD & HDMI and from what I saw the HD (720) screen will suffice (didn't get to look at Blu-Ray comparison yet). Is the May '09 BV7-32 model the one that also gets the Blu-Ray (or the upgradeable to Blu-Ray option) ? Thanks for helping me decide ... just .... got ... to

I was getting really tempted at a shop demo version of the 7-32" today (with x% off!) , but I didn't realise that it only had DVB-T and wasn't capable of decoding DVB HD signals. Since thats heading the to be the norm (okay - its a way away - but we do have a few HD channels on digital terrestrial here in Aus) it would be a shame to get

I've been the proud owner of a 1st Generation 28" Avant for the last 11 or so years and more recently its had a tube & electronics change (the old "green band/explosions of early death" syndrome) but since its been good to me there was no reason I wouldn't want to extend its life. I've had the 1st gen B&O DVD controller

Much appreciated Lee - you are my saviour !!

After trying to be the good brother and fix a niggling problem on a beolink setup (ie pressing the CD button on the beosound 3000 wasn't waking up the MX7000) i have now screwed up the options settings - pressing CD on the remote doesn't now get the stereo to play through the TV attached speakers. Long run up - but a short question (without

I've got a slimline panasonic dvd-player velcro'd to the top of my Mark 1 Avant 28" controlled quite nicely by the B&O DVD Controller (UK edition). It's about time I dipped by toe in the DVD recorder/HDD market and wanted to check (other than panasonic) what brands were supported - and what I need to do to tell it if i swap brands

Just going through this one myself - started as light green coming and going, after a few weeks TV "popped" when got to bright green and switched itself off. The Avant has had a chassis change AU$600- that hasn't cured it so now having the Tube replaced AU$1200 this Friday. The TV is 10 years old and you could question whether its worth
