  • Re: New addition to B&O product line. BeoSystem 1 - questions and concerns

Hi there....I am connecting my B eo S ystem 1 directly to a Panasonic plasma and I also tried connecting it to a Panasonic projector.....same result. Don't waist your time with the cable box....the Beosystem 1 only accepts 1080i or 480p over component. Also, for me I have another B eo S ystem 1 that I tried with the same cable box and do not have

Oh Boy.....that's not good. I am having exactly same problem with a Beosystem 1 I bought off eBay. Video via s-video or 480p via component works fine....but 1080i via component is just as you described. In bight scenes the image is OK but then in dark scenes it develops a wide dark horizontal banding....totally unwatchable. Hopefully it is just

In that case the only thing I can think of is that the component connection can't be connected/disconnected while being viewed. Try hooking up the component cables ONLY and try switching to another source (such as DVD) and then switch back to it. Verify that you have the correct connections for the component cable......blue and green are easy to

Hi there.....there is an easy fix for your situation. Do not connect the cable box to the BS1 using s-video. Instead, connect the cable box to the BS1 using a component cable (3-wire cable). The component input connection for the BS1 is on top of the BS1 and not in the back with the other connections. You do not need to make any adjustments. The BS1

  • Re: Beosystem1 and rs232

R Patton, Remember, if using a sub, the issue only pops up when you use "speaker 2" on a video source.....thus if you do not do this it will not be an issue. The "DTS box" isn't too expensive....I think it was $100-$150. Also, I would only try the DTS box if I was going to use a BL2 and only if the BL2 was going to be in between

If you plan on doing a full surround setup, then ask your dealer about the "blue box". It has RCA leads in and powerlink out. The box is light blue in color. I have never seen on in person but I have heard of it and have seen one on eBay once.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your previous questions......in any case........ mhodges, Did you ever resolve the issue? I would stick with the 560 code. There are no other RS232 settings that I am aware of. I think I know the issue you are referring to. I have a Beosystem 1 hooked up to a TH-42PH9UK and sometimes experience the same issue. My

mhodges, My apologies...I may have told you to set the value in the wrong place. Try setting CONTROL/DATA to value to "560" and PROJ/SCREEN to "0". If that doesn't work then switch it such that PROJ/SCREEN is "560" and CONTROL/DATA is "0". Nevertheless, I do believe that CONTROL/DATA is used for sending RS232

Your setup should work........In the PROJ/SCREEN setup change the number to "560" This should work but you need at least software version 4.7e for this code to be included in the Beosystem 1. If you do not have the latest software for the Beosystem 1 and it would not be too much trouble to bring it to a B&O shop or repair shop.....I suggest

  • Re: Echo Serene

I have the same problem with the Serene that you do. However, with my Serene the echo occurs for the person on the other end of the call. They can hear a delay of themselves. Like your echo, it does not happen all the time and does not happen throughout the entire call. It is VERY annoying for the person I am speaking with and to be honest it is very
