Oh... I first read this as the latest purchase from B&O... but now I see it's the latest purchase *of* B&O... in that case, last month I bought a set of BL1s (imho, stunning) and a BeoLink Passive to drive some outdoor speakers (still waiting - almost 3 weeks now - on those cables mentioned above to hook this one up). PL cables, a masterlink distribution box and a couple ML cables.

I think you are too quick to dismiss the BL9s. Many B&O stores do not set up their speakers for good listening. I, too, heard the BL9s a few years ago at a dealer and did not think they were very impressive. I have been tiring of my BL8000 + BL2 combo and went to the dealer for an extended listen of the BL9s. After I got a hold of the Beo4 and turned

If you don't have a Beosound to integrate, then you use almost any non-B&O surround sound processor / preamp. The main thing to look for when connecting BeoLabs is that the pre-amp can control the volume (variable audio outputs). Then you just need rca to powerlink cables and you should be all set. If you need to integrate Beosound audio, the

Clearly, you need to listen to the music you like on both speakers before making a deciding. If you can get a home trial, all the better as most B&O showrooms have more hard surfaces than normaly found in a home (and this can impact the sound significantly). In fact, being able to listen before you buy is one of the big reasons (IMHO) to buy new

Changed to LINE mode, still clicks with no input cables connected. Although, not as much... seems like mostly single clicks rather than multi-clicks. I don't think it's the power since I used the same cord / same outlet with my BL8000s for 5+ years without problem. However, it's easy to switch so I will try that too... or take your suggestion

It was too much work to switch cables so I just unplugged the PL cable from the clicking lab, and it continued to click. I also noticed that the red led does turn on at times, then click-click-click it is gone... click-click... click-click-click... back on again... repeat (although the cycle is by no means regular, and I haven't really counted whether

I bought a pair of Beolab 1's from a pawn shop. They sound great and I think they are a major improvement over my BL8000s. They work great except for 2 things: The LED does not work on one of the speakers, and this same speaker clicks (like it's turning on and off) once in a while when the source is turned off. I knew about the LED problem before

I found this in an old post... http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/18174/134422.aspx#134422 I'm not sure what a "GN Netcom" is, but maybe this will jog some memories from somebody else on the forum. I'd also be interested in finding a head-set for my BeoCom 3. Stan

If you only want to keep one copy of the file, then you should use a high bit rate (256 or above) mp3 or AAC format. I'd lean toward MP3 because it is supported by more platforms, and the sound quality difference between AAC and MP3 is minimal at higher bit rates (from my ears as well as some studies I've seen). However, if it was me, I'd
