  • Re: BeoMedia 1 - What updates can we expect?

Being able to list Albums by Artist would be good. We could make our wish list here. I would be interested to know also if anyone knows b&o's plans for software features for beoplayer / beomedia1. Regards Peter

  • Re: Starting over with Beomedia.

Assuming your computer is on the same network as the beomedia (and you are using a windows pc) in windows explorer / my computer you should see a network drive for the beomedia1 with 4 folders, favorites, music, photos and system. You can drag and drop files or remove what you dont want directly from there. Regards Peter

  • High Def 768 or 1080 with widescreen movies

I am a little reticent to open up again the 768 / 1080 High def debate, however. I currently have the latest BS3 BV4-50, with the 768 res panel. There has been quite a lot of discussion that 1080 will not make much if any difference when this full HD res panel is shipped later this year. My point is as follows; Most DVD and Blu-ray movies are in widescreen

  • Re: Masterlink problem I think

The BS3 is on v.opt 2 and the bs 3200 is on A.opt 0. The thing is the CD only dosnt work the first time round. As expalined above, if i bring the radio on first then go cd it comes on and stays on. I was wondering isfthe masterlink cable uses different wires for cd / radio or commands and I may have a bad connection since the dealer spliced the cable

frog: On a Sky HD box though, you can't get DD 5.1 out of the HDMI port - shame. Agreed I have that prob too but that is a problem caused by the sky hd box i think. Cheers Peter

  • Masterlink problem I think

In my main room i have a Beosystem 3, Beomedia 1 and a Beosound 3200, linked by Masterlink cable. All my speakers are connected via the Beosystem 3. I also have a link room with a pair of Beolab 3. Prior to having the Beosystem 3 I had an Avant on the masterlink cable that is now used for the Beosystem3, and everything worked as expected. When the dealer

  • Re: beosystem 3 and blue ray

I have a playstion 3 plugged into my bs3 only with an hdmi cable I have just put in a DTS DVD and selected the DTS track , I am hearing beautiful DTS 5.1 with no sp/dif cable. I can confirm this by looking at the PS3 display which says it is playing DTS 5.1, and the BS3 sound menu is stating Multichannel PCM 5.1 which makes sense. I agree with Corvin

  • Re: Possible BV7 purchase.

I think you will be well advised to wait for the new chassis, if this includes the BS3 built in, then you will benefit not just in picture quality but far better sound processing and if the same level of connections is presented as in the stand alone BS3 the 4 HDMI sockets are well worth having. Cheers Peter
