I'm going to be blunt here, it will be pornography that will make it mainstream. If you look at the development of Video, DVD, Internet Media, it was the porn industry that made these things common and I suspect that 3D will go mainstream when some company starts chucking out LCD panels for your computer and the costs plummet. Of course ther may

I emailed the local store and was told that there were 3 possible bands that could be fading. As I don't have a car right now to drive the (somewhat heavy) unit along, I decided to open it up and came up with the following findings (I need an answer to #5) The frets/grills are held by screws in the corner and the slide off to the left/right though

I mentioned this to a friend who said it might be the cold - it's in my kitchen and he has the same problem with a (non B&O) band driven system in a cold part of his house. Nonetheless, he said getting a new band couldn't do any harm, might fix it, is probably about in line with the age of the system and would probably be quite cheap anyway

Thanks, thought it might be something like that. I've got an Engineering degree so i don't mind the technical side of stuff but I can't remember who it is on the site that sells the belts and things; I can get some money paypaled over if you PM me though

Well the glass door on my century has gotten a bit sticky. It closes fine and it's not the sensor but it needs a little tap/encouragement to open up. I'm assuming that this is dust or the like in the mechanism and that it just needs a nice open and clean. I'm fine with opening up electrical equipment but given that these units are a lot

Not sure about getting it fixed, I actual put it into the Glasgow Bearsden branch before I left home (about 5 years ago) and asked them to look over it and replace anything that might go soon. I've had it on all evening tonight (with the speakers back to normal) and it's not hot at all so I think it was just the speaker impedence thing. I'll

Short Version: Is it possible to have the second set of speakers on a BeoMaster 5500 at a different volume level? Long Version: So unil recently I've had my right hand speakers at the back of the room and the left channel at the front. This enabled me to adjust the balance to the left and perfectly center the sound on my sofa. Anyway, recently it

Although given how small and light they are you could probably have been even more minimalist and superglued it to the back of the tv

I always think the Scart cables and the co-ax aerial inputs are not modern or what you'd use if you connected a new device but they're nethertheless valueable. If you want to connect an older game system or you pick up a classic piece of kit and want to connect it, you realise that modern digital inputs can't do everything. Years ago I did

I've found it's a fairly good source for news and website updates. Sort of like RSS except with slightly more eclectic things on it and with the addition of friends posting to it. Certainly I don't have time for facebook and it's games/groups/polls etc, I just think it's there for people to kill time with and avoid work or getting
