If people want cheaper B&O products with the same quality, then B&O should do what every other electronic company does (save the cottage producers in UK/US/Franceetc...)........ ......Manufacture in China. I bet they could probably knock 25-30% of their prices at a slash! 10%

Beobird: They should FIRE mr. Lewis and kick the whole mangement team out of Denmark !!! I know this sounds hard, but Lewis has got his best time and now it's time to move on... I really don't have the B&O feeling when I see the products of the last 2-4 years like the Beolab 9, Beolab 10, Beosound 6,Beovision 8 and the redesigned/screwed

I think in part it has to do with the Yen currency exchange rate. It has been strengthening significantly over the last 12 months. I remember purchasing a brand new pair of BL5's in Singapore (mid 2004). Cost me SGD26000 which at the time was equaivalent to GBP8300 and quite a bargain. Today and assuming no retailers price hike in the claculation

Panny have their OEM 103 inch plasma on view in Singapore Airport T2/T3. It looks like it is on sale for GBP48,000 to 50,000. Guess Panny are catering to the masses too! So why not rebadge it, put a frame on it and sell it for a few quid more? Who is going to buy a GBP50,000 plama in the first place? Right! The same people who would buy a GBP80,000

Doing a quick bit of math, with the BL10 being approx 1/3 that the screen, this Beovision would indicate to be a 100 incher! 10%

TerryM: Well,it would appear that Trip is acting true to form in posting patronising,or insulting, comments, and then subsequently denying that this was his intention. Throwing stones in pools to watch the ripples? Fortunately,my local dealer is not cast from a "Trip mould"! Come on guys! Thought we had moved on from this? If you dont like

For me it was one of the Beocenter 7000 series in the mid-eighties in the sunday Times Magazines. Black glass, acres of brushed aluminium and the large red arrow LEDs. Following that, it was the Beocenter 9000. It wasn't until 1993 however I could afford my first B&O proper:- A gothic green Century, followed by the Ouverture, followed by the

These are all the codes I have. I think I lost/deleted the DVD1, but that can be unlocked by hard key on the DVD1 itself. However, I have no idea how to obtain the codes for REG1 and REG2 and whether that code can be mimmicked on a Beo5 BeoVision 7 32"/40" 0 : Switch on the BeoVision 7 in dvd mode 1) No dvd in loader 2) Loader closed 3) Use

magnushj: Would be interesting to hook one of those remotes up to an oscilloscope and have a look at the output. Maybe one could build a small remote containing just those two buttons and use a normal beo4 for the rest of the commands. If the commands and numbers are the same for all units when you are in the menu a one button remote that sends the

I have one of those Beo4's in my collection. It was purchased from "Hifi Dealer" before they went bump. Think I paid £300 for it. However, it has unlocked 3 BV7's, an Avant DVD, a BC1 and a BC2 (MK1) to date so I'm guessing I'm about breakeven compared to paying a dealer who would be prepared to do it. The remote has
