I got my hands on a Logitech Harmony 525, and tried it with Logitechs web-library codes for Beocenter 7700: no response whatsoever from the Beocenter. In addition, I tried with my Beomaster 5000 as well (with Beomaster 5000 codes) and same here: Harmony libraries for these oldies at least are non-functional. -jari

Finally got some time to fit the cam-wheel properly - and I think I got it right! Thanks, Martin! But another problem shows up now that the mechanism itself works (i.e tonearms moves and lowers ok etc.): the motor doesn't seem have enough torque to turn the platter. Could it be just old hardened grease on the motor ? When I move the idler wheel

Yes, the three round domes under the BEOCENTER 7700 logo on the left side of the unit contain the IR diodes. And as the REMOTE SWITCH is ON, the system should work with a remote - I don't know if any BC7700 were ever delivered without the remote control capability. -jari

A follow-up question (a bit ashamed to ask, but...): Which side up the cam-wheel should be ? I thought it should be the side with a lot of grooves up, i.e. down the axle (when the BG is upside down in front of You); but I cannot position it deep enough to fit the c-clip. Should it be the other way round (i.e. the side with the metal and plastic parts

OK, but in that case my BG6002 - BM5000 combo should work ? Well, my Beogram 6002 is a recent buy so haven't had time to check if it has the datalink module inside (it is optional in this model, I believe). You cannot tell that from outside, I suppose ? -jari

Thanks, Martin! That was a big help: the locking pin (120) it is, and the wire spring looks like to be from tonearm base (174)! Now I'll just try to fit all these pieces back... -jari

Just tested and sorry, they seem to be not compatible. At least my Beogram 6002 doesn't recognise commands from Beomaster 5000 (with 7 pin cable), which is similar set-up to Yours. So, I assume the 6000/8000 series Beograms just don't work with 5000/5500/6500/7000 Beomaster. -jari

Just got an old Beogram 3000, model 5228. Looks nice, but doesn't work at all (well, motor seems to spin or at least sounds like it but nothing else). Digged in, the envelope with schematics was still inside - but someone had tampered with the machine: cam-lifting wheel was missing! But the nice part: the cam-wheel and some smaller bits and pieces

Thanks, the BC2000DL manual would be great! Manuals for BC1800 and BC2400 are here as well, I think they are as close as the SC1500 manual for the real thing? -jari

Thank You ! These were a great help! -jari
