Thanks, Martin, I was afraid of all that. I was hoping to be able to access more functions by 'circumventing' the remote, but it doesn't appear it would yield any more than the present front panel controls, right? I willl wait for a cd terminal. I waited for the Beolab terminal and 3 of them came up in short order on the Bay. Lucky me! Am

Just got a Cd50 off Fleabay, and I have a few questions. 1) I see no mention of a heat/electrial foil shield over the CD mechanism in the parts list or diagrams of the service manual. Or the aluminum that appears to be taped on the inside of the top case cover. Is that factory or add-on? 2) How do I tell if the optional IR board is installed? (Just

Okay, just a question. Has anyone done a cosmetic change to the way their B&O looks? Nothing too major, I suppose, but I was thinking of changing the veneer from rosewood to something else. Why? Bedause I can. I seem to remember a thread of someone pondering trying a CD transport in a Beocord chassis to have a matched set. Can't find it again

Just a Terminal for my BM8000, BG8000 and BC8002. Oh, and a pair of 105's to go along with my 100's Cheers.

Thanks, Doc. I'll get with Dillen. Yes, the Beocord appears to have serious issues. I knew there wasn't a matching CD, but I'll be ont eh lookout for a CDX.
