Not worth a huge amount but excellent speakers. Dare I say it, far better than RL60s!

Of course the Gateshead one actually tips up to let boats through as well! Wonderful device!

I have never been much of a fan of mobile phones - I only varry one when I must and my old Nokia 8910 was all I ever needed. I did get a Serene when they came out and it was pretty dire - it went back twice before my kind dealer put me out of my misery and refunded my money! I bought an iPhone and wouldn't have anything else now. It may be ubiquitous

I wouldn't play with the service menu settings ! If you really must, then make a note of everything first! B&O take a rather dim view of having to fix TVs that misbehave following alterations! The Movie Mode is worth changing to your taste though. The TV settings should alter all the screen parameters regardless of source.

I wonder if it is Film Mode that you are objecting to. Which BV7 do you have as I believe the mechanism fot turning this off may differ. Type number is the best way of working out which one it is!!

If in superb condition, around £1000.

There is a noted fault that if the wire bundle to the display is too close to some of the modules, you can get an intermittent hum in the speakers. Is it both speakers or just the one?
-
The VX5000 etc was also made by Hitachi to a B&O design - though there is one Hitachi model that is pretty similar (but very rare!) These machines are made in Japan. I must confess to loving these - the VX5000 in particular - but they can never be called reliable! The fault with the VX5000 was simply complexity and heat, both of which are addressed
-
Well you can do, though the quality of the 6000s is not as good as the 8000s and the front speakers do far more than the rears in any set up. I would personally rather have wall mounted 4000s as fronts as you will get more bass that way. I agree about a non B&O active sub rather than a Cona.

Where are you? I thought I saw that you paid $ for this - I didn't know the AV5 was sold in the states. I do wonder if this might be a problem with the sound card. You can change settings but you need the user manual to tell you how to do this - if if it is possible on your model. (different markets have different specs) What is the type number
