I have a call in to B&O... they are calling their repair shop (?)... I have seen that AM antenna, and while it looks amazing, and i'm sure preforms great, I have a feeling it is more money than I want to spend right now. I would think there would be a cheap alternative for sale at Radio Shack... I really just want to listen to baseball games

Finally have everything working in my Beosystem... except AM radio. Whats the easiest/cheapest way to get my AM radio working? A certain part on ebay? Something from Radio Shack? Sorry, I'm clueless here... I don't have an FM antenna either, so getting that working (more stations!) would be great. My priority is AM though. Thank you! CW
It's safe to try with a fast fuse - it may blow unnecessarily, but it will not cause any damage. If the Beogram works then, you'll know that the problem was just the blown fuse.
the fuse worked. thank you everyone!!!!!

ok cool. thanks. i just looked into getting a new fuse... apparently mine is "slow"... i can get one that is "fast"... will this make a difference or should i look for a slow fuse? i may have misunderstood the Canal St electronics guys... but does this sound right? basically, my filament is thicker than the ones i have found for

im picking up a new fuse tonight. i thought about doing something like you suggested but decided not to. i will report back. (still hoping its the fuse!)
-
the fuse appears intact (minor impurities on the filament.. is that normal?) would there be other fuses or things i should look at?

I am in NY.. looking for working Beomaster 5500. I have remote. Thank you!
-
thank you. i will look into this & report back.

is blown fuse easy fix? (i'm working on upgrading my membership for access to manuals... ) can anyone recommend someone in NY to repair? or for parts? i would think it is blown fuse versus belt because there is no sign of power in machine. does this sound like a correct analysis? thanks.
