Like others, I also find texting a nightmare and always call people back instead. Its not the most practical of phones and I'll be using the Serene for that when it comes back from repair. However, for sound quality its unbeatable. Better than all B&O MP3 players before by far, even if a little on the large side compared to an iPod shuffle!

I have it controlling Lutron lighting so yes it is possible, after all its only macros.

Don't think so. I have 2 BeoCom 6000s and and a BeoCom 2 in my place and I was trying the exact same thing when I bought the BeoCom 2 and linked them all. You have to put up with the different tones but its OK, quite a nice eclectic mix actually! Will you get a BeoCom 5 do you think? I am unsure.

Crikey! I only had my 7-40 updated just over a week ago and that was with the 'old' 6.11! Please keep me posted on what thhis new update fixes.

I wonder if (point 2) has anything to do with a problem I am experiencing on my BV6-26? Basically, I can switch it on and link to the BV7-40 and BS9000 in the lounge. It comes on with Sky, from the link system, but I am not able to change channels? There is simply no response. The engineer is pretty sure its not a link problem as everything else works

Well I spent some time looking at one of the latest Samsung LED Tvs today, 40" and 50" screens and I have to say the picture quality was amazing, especially when playing HD content. They are also 200hz sets which shows. I think the BV10-40 will be a cracking picture based on what I saw today. It really is so difficult to keep up with technologies

I am going to be in Las Vegas in a few months and want to get a BeoTime at some point. Would it be any cheaper over there?

Shame. The more I think about it perhaps we have too high expectations these days? I mean, B&O is just B&O isn't it? Just because they have amazed us with great products in the past doesn't mean they can keep that up. Perhaps there were certain times where they shone through, for example the analogue age, but the digital age just isn't
