hi peter tried what you suggested the humming has now gone,thanks very much, i am a bit disappointed that such a heath robinson [no disrespect] cure was required. the only thing now is poor sound quality i suspect the stylus is shagged any advice would be gratefully appreciated

hi chris tried the earthing between the deck & amplifier with no differance i disconnected the deck totally pushed the phono button and got the same noise its as if the deck is not connecting to the amp any ideas regards terry

I've owned from new a Beocenter 4000 and a Beogram CDX which given years of great service. I've just been given a Beogram 3000 (type 5901) which I was told played ok. My first problem was that the Beogram 3000 had a five pin connector & the Beocenter 4000 had jack plugs. After a visit to the local B&O shop an adapter cable was bought
