My local dealer has them in stock. The small one is approx €200 and the larger one is approx €250. Roger

The idea behind letting the dealers control the setup of the Beo5 is perhaps good, but I guess that dealers will be on strike after helping out the 57th Beo5 customer for the 3rd time in one week . They have better things to do, so I would expect the dealers to push for a download from www.bang-olufsen.com after just a month or two. Actually, I see

As they are dusting their desk's they are now confirming that the BV8-32 will be shipped to B1's and SiS during week 35. More stuff will follow shortly (Beo5, Serenata etc)... Roger

Perhaps B&O's new set top box covers could be a solution, they come in two sizes and consist of a black metal plate that is designed to hold an STB and comes with an L-shaped cover in brushed aluminium. I'll see if I manage to include a picture of one mounted on a wall. Roger

A solution that I saw was to place a BeoLab 5 (expensive advice) in front of the connection panel and the BV7 next to it with a silver sock to hide the cables running to the 7. Roger

mbee: Death of the Beo4!!!! Noooo!!! I hope that the entry level remote will be better featured than the Beo1 remote!!! I think B&O is trying to make a frustrating entry level remote just in order to make everyone buy the Beo5 (typical marketing strategy), but I hope I'm wrong. I guess we can assume that B&O though hard and long before they

wtlc2zpx: Release date? September (this year). I would expect the 7-40 mkIII to start shipping at the same time (not confirmed). The entry-level (or very-easy-to-use) remote will arrive later this year and mark the death of the Beo4. As users will have the option of choosing a remote, BeoVision's will soon be shipped without a remote at all. Roger

berlin2010: Roger, slightly off-topic. Your attachments talk about Setup 1 through 4... what are these? Or put differently I presume the rest of the document from which your attachments came describes different setups? I am having a slight problem with my HDR1, BV7 and STB to play together nicely - maybe if I had a look at the four setups it'd help
-
The 7-40 mkIII is clearly based on the BeoSystem 3. Same number/type of connections and, as far as I can see, the same service modules. Roger

I do not have the exact UK price, but this might help until someone can post the exact price: - it's 57.600 NOK w/o the DVB module (4.400 NOK). 57.600 / 12 = approx £4.800 or £5.170 w/DVB module. Roger
