Let's hear it for Dave Moulton!
Dave started by showing us how the Beolab 5 automatically callibrates itself to suit the room it is in.
Here
he is pointing at a little microphone that 'magically' emerges from the
bottom of the speaker. The speaker then emits three or four tones at
different levels which the microphone detects. The onboard computer
then works out the optimal output for this room, with this amount of
people in it, and this amount of furnishings. Amazing!!
Apparently, the computer in Struer that sets Beosound 9000 to give the right output, is not as powerful as the one in each Beolab 5!
