Hi Peter, thanks for reply.Think we talked on site before.I bought a 4000 from e-bay which was sold in good working condition(Which I think was the case)However the cartridge mount was broken in transit.I live in Belfast and received no interest from my local B&O dealer. In fact I don't think its easy to aquire any 4000 parts anywhere in Ireland.I have managed to get my hands on the parts from a broken deck from a helpful guy on e-bay.I am an engineer and have good practical skills. The arm from the broken deck is a modified version of mine.It is a soldered wires whereas mine was a push on fit.Obviously there is a difference in mass between the two arms therefore the counterbalance must be changed and subsequent adj of arm for length and tracking.I'm quite hopeful! Thus my question to the forum.I see turntablebasics.com sell a mirrored tool for adj,but was wondering if this was of any use for tangential tracking desks.I think it may be
Regards
Peter
