As a matter of interest, if and when you do find out just what connectors are used/changed... if you let me know then I will add it to BeoTech.

Look up German (TAE) to UK (BS 631) adapter, see what you come up with.

    Dave,

Can you confirm the codes of the colours of the wires coming from your German phone. I know someone who has a german B&O phone he is using in the UK, so I can ask him what the connections are.

    Keith..

    Hello Dave,

Sorry for the delay, but frankly I had forgotten, but here is the data now.

The UK phone plug as shown below is numbered from pin 1 to pin 6 left to right.

Pins 1 & 6 are not wired and pin 4 is wired but not used. The voice pair is on pins 2 & 5 and pin 3 is for ring

    UK Phone Plug

    Pin 1 is NOT USED
    Pin 2 is BLUE
    Pin 3 is WHITE
    Pin 4 is RED
    Pin 5 is GREEN
    Pin 6 is NOT USED

I hope this answers your wiring problem. If at any time you need a new lead, the B&O part number is 1004926

    Keith..

    Regards Keith....

    Sorry Dave,

I missed a further piece of data, you have noted that your coloured wires are not 100% the same as the ones I have quoted because apparently at some point the colour coding was changed. To ensure we have the correct translation of coloured wires by version you will have to slide the small cover at the bottom of the handset downwards and behind it are two small switches, to the right and behind this switch plate is a very small plug. Please state the ORDER of your colours in this plug from bottom to top (top being by the wire outlet)

    Keith..

    Regards Keith....
