    Which Remote

Which B&O Remote do I need to work with my 9300/Penta 3 setup (BEO4, 1000, etc.)?

I have a pair of Power Link Cables on the way.

    Thanks,

    Chris

The correct answer is either. It really is a matter of personal preference. Is there any one close to you who has both that you could try?

My own preference is for BL1000 but there are probably a majority who would disagree!

    Graham,

Thanks for yopur reply.  What is it that you prefer about the ML1000 vs. Beo4?

Also, I currently have the Pentas connected with RCA cables.  When I get the Power Links, will there be some control over the speakers vs. the Volume control on the 9300?

    Re: Which Remote

I prefer the 1000 because I think it is easier to use when you have multiple systems. All the buttons are right there on the remote without having to use the list on the Beo4. It's a bit marginal and probably influenced by what I have become familiar with.

Not sure that I completely understand the second part of the question. The 9300 has no RCA outputs so how are you using RCA with the pentas??

    Regards Graham

    Re: Which Remote

I wired RCA's ( which the Pentas have) to a 5 pin DIN.  Am able to control volume from the Beocenter.

I was wondering if when I get the Power Link Cable, will the ML1000 control the volume at the speakers.

    Thanks

Yes of course, it will control all functions on the 9300 except open cassette or cd doors.

Edit......which socket do you plug the 5 pin din into?

    Regards Graham

    Re: Which Remote

I'm connected to "Power Link I"

I've noticed that when I place the 9300 on Standby, the Bass/Treble setting return to "0" (rather than the +4 & +5 that I prefer).

    Re: Which Remote

You need to store your preferred startup settings. When you have the system sounding as you want it press Programming>Sound>Store on the 9300 or Sound>Store>Store on the Beolink 1000.

Now, every time you switch on the system will start with your settings.

    caci,
But you don't have penta green display's showing source information that you are using on your BC9300.
I believe if you will use Master Link Cables you will be able to display that info.

    Re: Which Remote

    David,

    Thanks for your reply.

I actually got my Power Link cables in yesterday, in hopes of keeping cables to a minimum.

Unfortunately, while the display is now working on the Pentas, I am not getting sound!

Please see my other thread - Graham has been trying to help me.

I believe that I've followed all of the Instructions to make the Penta/Power Link/BC9300 do their thing - even connected them in every conciveable combination - but something ain't right.

    Thanks
