    BeoVision 8-40 Record to usb

Hi I have recently purchased a bv8-40 and over the moon with it, the picture quality is excellent, however the most thing i miss is not being able to record in a simple seemless way. ie as i used to do with my old tv and I dont want to add a pvr onto the bv8

I have noticed that the set has a usb slot, which i was wondering if you could record straigt to a usb key, that would be great. I havnt tried this but just thought i would ask if anyone has done this?

    Many thanks

Sorry, not possible, USB is only for update purposes.

    (It's B&O, not Samsung)

Re: BeoVision 8-40 Record to usb

Try to find a good HDD recorder supported by the PUC of the Beovision, and hide it.

Some times ago, I would have advised to buy a Tvix, but the DVICO company has now ceased all its activity in the TVix, so there will be no future software development (for DVB update compatibility for instance), so now I can only recommend to avoid it.

[EDIT] : Tvix is not dead, but in search of a buyer... So it looks better for the aftersale support... Here is the official answer to this (via digitalversus)

Re: BeoVision 8-40 Record to usb

Thank you, I have just ordered sky hd and have to go with an external box, but I managed to pick up the beo8-40 cabinet so this will now be out of site.

I just now have to get my beo4 & beo5 programmed

would anyone have a mapping chart?

    Regards
