    Opened (sort of BL5's)

    Hi guys,

Just found these two pics from about a year ago.

This was when I had my BL5's changed to white. Changed by B&O technician.

    Oh boy, that looks nasty.

Maybe the technician was careless... At least I hope the technician mentioned about the broken part to you and fixed it at the same time the fabrics were changed?

From my memory, those are plastic studs, holding the black plastic plate sitting flush with the fabric on the cone.

So just relax. It won't make a difference even if one of those studs was broken off by the repairman.

    Indeed.

Well I ringed my B&O shop, luckily they are sending me 2 brand new BL5's for the problem with the broken piece of plastic. The manager was shocked! I even get to keep the old ones.

"Please don't sue, please don't sue" he cried out during the entire phone call.

The new ones are being sent First class from Czech.

They are now destroyed and obviously not worth it to ship over there. Andreas, if Eva doesn't let you keep two pairs, I could spare you the trouble of taking them to the skip Big Smile

Guys - calm down!  Poor old chap has been royally 'flamed' here, which isn't the way we do things on here is it?  Indifferent

If an engineer started snapping lugs on my BeoLab 5's i'd be less than happy, so i think there's an over-reaction to a fairly innocent post here !!

Right, my helmet is buckled on - i'm wearing full body armour and have a fire extinguisher tucked neatly under my left arm.  Go.

    I don't think so.

    Re: Opened (sort of BL5's)

I agree with you Lee, especially as the tech has more than likely left it without saying anything. Some might argue there is a potential source of unwanted noise... It is dissapointing to see B&O using a system that has generally failed to stand the test of time!

Can see lots of these speakers needing a recloth in 20 years.... "oh dear, what was that snapping sound" lol!

    Olly.
