Can someone help me understand what I'm doing wrong?
I had:
- MacMini 2010 connected to a Beoport + 2 Beolab 6002 and a Philips flatscreen in one room.
- In main room: Avant DVD and Beosound 3000 + 4 Beolab 4000 + Beolab 2
- Beolab 3500 in a third room
I used Linkplayer v1.1 and with N.MUSIC I could listen soundtracks stored in my MacMini in all rooms.
Last week I substituted the Philips flatscreen with a new Beovision 10. Connected the Beovision 10 directly to the MacMini using an HDMI cable and connected the two Beolab 6002 directly to Beovision 10.
I thought Beoport was not necessary in this configuration.
Now I can see images from MacMini and listen to soundtracks using the Beovision 10 and the connected Beolab 6002 but I cannot listen to music stored in the MacMini from other rooms.
Beovision 10 is correctly linked to other rooms as I can listen to CD and Radio from Beosound 3000 and see a DVD from the Avant.
I also tried the beta version of Linkplayer 2 but nothing changed. Tried different configurations...
I wonder if Beoport is still necessary to have N.MUSIC in other rooms.
Is there someone who can advise?
Thanks
