I've had a couple of problems with one unit - mainly because they have lapped the globe a couple of times and had some pretty dirty 240v supply at times.

Instance 1. - replaced an internal fuse.

    instance 2. - replaced the chasis (GBP250)

There is also quite a bit of labour to get at the internals

The only option is to call your B&O service dept.

Ok.. i have checked the fuse and sadly its not broken :(

Then i guess its the chasis... do you remember how much that costed to change?

So i know if i should take it on my insurrance or just pay B&O myself.

Sorry, meant internal fuse, not the one associated with the power cord.

as you said, you have tested that.

first fault - there was a loud "pop" on night and the LED was completely extingushed. Fuse change by B&O Hanoi. Cost more to lump the thing to their workshop.

second fault - The LED blinked Red/off every second indicating a protection fault. That was a GBP250 chasis board change.

considering they are now 7 years old (IIRC) and have been to Indonesia, UK, Ghana, Turkey, Vietnam, Central Russia and UK again, I think they have faired rather well.
