    Beomaster 6500 and Airplay?

I am trying to play music using Airplay through my Beomaster 6500.  I found the right Din-to-headphone jack connector, but I cannot figure out which port to put it in to.  I have ports that say "1" or "2" and "tape 1"and "tape 2" (and other).  The first two are easily accessible.

I have a beosystem 7000 remote, and I cannot figure out which "component" would activate which port (other than the obvious).

    Suggestions?

At the back of your BM6500 there should be a lot 7 pin DIN plugs named, CD, PHONO (which are inputs), A.TAPE, A.TAPE2, TV/AUX (which are in- and outputs. There are also two Powerlink outputs ( 8 pin DIN), which are preamp outs for active speakers (Beolabs).

I`d take A.TAPE2 port for your adapter. You can activate this port pressing A.TAPE2 on your BL7000, or SHIFT - A.TAPE on BL5000/1000, or N.MUSIC on newer Beo4s. Maybe A.TAPE2 will not be displayed on your BL7000. You can add this button.

Thank you Stefan!  It turns out I purchased the 8-pin DIN connector, so I cant get it into the A.TAPE ports.  I do have A.TAPE2 on my BL7000 for a CD player.    I will try again with another connector.  I guess I was trying to use the preamp outs.  Thank you.  I will be back if needed after the next try...

For those of you who found this thread and have the same question- I have since discovered that a 5-Pin DIN cable to a mini-headphone jack will work.  These are easier to find than 7-pin-to-headphone.
