    Beosystem 5500 power connection

    I'm wondering if a Beosystem 5500 originally sold in USA can be plugged into Australian power points?  I think both countries are 220 volts?  Anyone know?

    USA is definitely NOT 220V and unless you modify the units, you'll blow them up!

    They don't have external voltage selectors either, they will need rewiring at the transformers. The Beomaster can be rewired, but without checking, I'm not 100% sure of the others.

    Something like this as an German member (expert) gave me the way how to do this modification for my AV7000 bought in the US

    B&O item 1, B&O item 2, B&O item 3,...................B&O item 735
