After recently recovering my Beomaster 5/Beosound 5 back to day one settings I am having an issue where it wont allow me to change the role setting from N Music to CD - allowing me to control the system quickly with a Beo4 remote. When I select CD the system always reverts back to N Music. It will however allow me to change the role of N Radio to Radio. Has anyone else encountered this problem and know a solution?

what is your sw version after the recovery?

maybe you should do an update. 

I would suggest to turn OFF and On the AudioMaster setting. With the AM option set to OFF the BM5/BS5 should not accept the CD/RADIO setting any longer and this might clear up the internal database.
