Hello everyone,

My BeoMaster 5 / BeoSound 5 won't execute the manually software upgrade...

When I press "Upgrade software" it shows the screen with the message "0 % downloaded".... and then nothing happens - even if I leave the BM5/BS5 alone in a couple of hours or even over night...

The upgrade I wish to get is the one that enables me playing music from my iPhone on the BS5..

Please help out a BS5/BM5-user (I have had the product in a couple of years now)....

0 % download :(

maybe a reset would help you out?! Sometimes software does not respond in the way is was expected; often the "best" try is to shut down the whole thing and let it restart - sorry but I don't have any other idea (cause as you wrote that the system had enough time...

Well - I have restarted the system several times now. So yeah - have tried that :) but thx for the respond!

Had a quick dig round known faults - one is the disc is full. What software are you running at present?

Current BM5/BS5 application version is: 6.02.00.1902

Current BS5 main firmware is: 1.33a

Current BS5 boot firmware is: 0.04a

FYI: The disc is far far far from full !...

Btw: Manually software upgrade just responded "Failed"

Had a look at the info I have and all it states is that there are errors in the software that they are working on! And the work around is to download the new software!!!! I think this is one for Keith or a dealer!

How reliable is your connection to the internet?  If this is not reliable, then this too could cause issues upgrading the software.

If your network is reliable, you might also try restoring your system to a previous version (go into the extended menu <<, >>, <<, >>, GO) and find system restore.  This will take a while.  When this finishes, try the software upgrade again.

These steps fixed mine (and a few others on the forum) when B&O mistakenly released some software before it had been completely cooked.

First of all - my internet connection is very solid, 50 mb cabel connection.

Secondly, I have now tried the reset functionality (this jumps the BS5/BM5 software back to 4.xx.xx.xxxx version) - and now .... when I try to manually update it - it does the same! - Stalls at 0 % downloaded ....arrrg!

I tried to use N.radio - no problem at all

I looked a the network info - the audio-product receives a network IP and everything is OK from that perspective...hmm!?

Wait ...! The update have begun!... Lets see if it can continue all the way to the most current version!
