Don't think it's that much of a bargain to be honest!

    Cheers

About right I would say - especially as not tested - the S45s look a little tired in the tweeter department.

Purely as an aside, I looked at the top plate of the BG3000 and noticed the small black plug just before the name. I have checked a picture of mine, long since given away, and it had the same. The only other deck with this that I remember was the Beogram 3400 in which the black plug could be removed and a small red LED inserted when the CD4 board was fitted. Why should the 3000 have a similar plug?

The little dot next to the Beogram 3000 lettering is a lens.
There is a small lamp underneath that lights up in orange color (neon) when the
    tonearm is moving at start/stop/lift.

On the Beogram 3400 there's nothing under the lens.
There may be something if the quad module is installed though, I never saw one with the module.

My Beocenter 3500 has it too: it lightens up when auto cueing is running.
