BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
The new BeoPlayer app for Iphone/Ipod touch/Ipad is on the official B&O website.
You get access to 20+ Internet radio stations in various bitrates.
And a BeoCom 5-style alarm clock.
Other features will come later on but won't be free..
Reunion Island is greeting you!

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
I'm actualy surprized!
At the moment the App is streaming over AirTunes through Airport to my Ouverture.. and my iPhone displaying a nice clock :-)
So even without the BS8 it's useful! Definitely going to upgrade to have even more radiostations...

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
It's quite nice...but how I can play my music stored on the iphone?
Would be perfect if I could control my beomedia...but I think B&O is not aiming to such functions.
Cheers

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
The App is not made to play the music stored on you iPone. It just plays NetRadio and functions as an alarm clock. In order to play your music in your iPhone it needs to be docked into the BS8.

Spiros:quite interesting app. So far I like the fact of the upgrade with more than 10.000 radio stations!!! It's a good improvement of B&O although there is a long way............
OK, I'll bite. An good improvement from what, and a long way to what?

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
I just tried it and I really like it - but it soooo needs to support the iPad!
Due to the fact, that my iPad lacks a clock with alarm, and I will mainly use it with my Beosound 8 this software needs to be an universal app supporting both the iPhone and the iPad native (with full screen resolution).
One really cool thing is - even when I killed the running player (while have a snoozed Alarm activated) it restarts automatically to continue the next Alarm (of the snoozed one).
For now I rated it 4 Stars - but I will rate it 5 Stars as soon as it gets full iPad support.

Quite nice, will be using this as my alarm tonight. If only it had BBC6 Music.

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
Airplay support? Then I could use the AppleTV connected to the BV8 (with screen muted of course) to listen to music. The app's sleep timer turns net radio off, Lintronic sleep timer turns BV8 off.
Shouldn't be difficult at all technically. B&O, will you?

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
My first check with iPod touch 1st generation: Oops, iOS 4.x required! No go!
iPod touch 4th generation:
Nice clock
Favorite stations: plays nicely
Timers:
Sleep OK
Alarm Clock: Shall test it with Beosound 8 next year
Remote speakers: If you play a radio station, you see on the lower right corner a symbol, you click it and you have the choice of your iPod or any remote speaker available in your WLAN (nice to raise your guest in his sleeping room, if it is provided with a remote system ;-))
Summary:
Nice start. A support of iOs 3.x could give my old iPod touch 1st generation a new job. I wait for more radio stations for not too many €/$/¥. I am dreaming not of a white christmas, but of NMusic.

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
Spiros:For an iPhone App it's quite expensive but I hope it's worth the money. Do you know any other features apart from the radio stations that will be included on this upgrade?
There are only more radio stations on the upgrade, not any new feature...

Re: BeoPlayer App now on B&O website
Here it is... It's the button (AirPlay) next to the volume slider
(BeoNet is the name I gave to my AirPort Express)

I bet it appears when I am connected!
Thanks Karel!
