HELP! My BS9000 drives me crazy!

Hello, just bought a new double CD (Absolute Music Summer Hits), and the BS 9000 only play the first song on each CD!

If I press NEXT it will go to the second track and then continue to play the CD in a correct way, the same goes with selecting a track direct by number. But if I just let it play it will only play the first track on each CD (getting so tired of Lady Gaga and Rasmus Seebach).

Every other CD is fine, and I have moved the CDs to different positions, but it doesn't matter. Only the first songs are played on this double CD.

My first thought was I've edited of playlist by mistake, so I've tried pressing EDITING and CLEAR, but it doesn't help.

    Anyone with a solution?

Re: HELP! My BS9000 drives me crazy!

    Hi!

I've spent the weekend trying get a fix. Have changed CD's, positions, deleted names in the CD list (had 195 saved), power of for a while, naming the new CD's etc. It's a tough job wearing the "hug your self sweater" the nice guys in white gave me.

The strange thing is that the problem is incoherent. For most of the time only the first song is played on both of them. I can change to any song with TRACK or ARROW UP or DOWN (both on remote and control panel under lid). But after that song is played the BS9000 change to the next CD (which I'm also getting tired of). But yesterday the first CD worked normal and only the second one (and last added to my collection) was faulty played. And sometimes both CD's are played correct! (Maybe 1 out of 10?).

I don't believe the CD's are faulty, because than I wouldn't be able to play any other song then the first on each CD. So I will not return them to the store and get a new copy. Even if that would be interesting to see if the problem will remain.

Next thing to do is getting some other new CD's to try. I can't find anyone in our collection (about 600) I for sure know I haven't played yet.

Can any one see what MK I've got? I believed I had Mk2, but I now recall it can be Mk1.

Bought new in september 2000, Type number 2561 sw 2.0, Serial number starts with 1476

The CD mechanics was changed under guarantee after a year or two due to a very whining high-pitched sound.

In the other thread a reset of the system was mentioned. Is this something I can do my self? If that would be it, it will do for me. Even if I must find the radio station again etc, as long as I will only have to do it once every decade.
