There's a lithium cell (battery) inside the processor casing that holds the info in the memory.It's soldered in and the module must be handled in anti-static environment.Best replaced by a trained tech guy but shouldn't be an expensive repair.

check the microprocessor board ... vertically mounted at the front ... shielded front and back

Inside the processor metal shielding and soldered to the board.Actually to be opened only by a trained tech guy in antistatic environment.Remember to reset the NVRAM after replacing the cell.
