Evening folks - welcome to yet another Wednesday©

You may have noticed I missed the last two weeks! Tonight full Queensbury rules apply - please, no mention of A/V, B&O, Cameras, Cars, or watches etc., I couldn't stand to read any more PM's of complaint from ladies whose husbands blinded themselves by fixing small party sausages to their eyeballs with cocktail sticks just to avoid reading the "car" thred!

Tonight's topic is media, i.e. books, films and music. What have you read, watched or listened to with great anticipation only to be massively disappointed?

Among the books I bought to read on holiday was "Catcher in the Rye", a classic and an "essential" read............errrrr Not!! I thought it was pants, after nothing happening all the way through the book, right at the very end.............. he tells you he's not going to tell you anymore! Absolute tosh - don't read it and certainly don't ever take it on a desert island.

Just last week I finally watched "Reservoir Dogs" all the way through for the first time. Being a fan of "Pulp Fiction" I thought I would really enjoy it ......... wrong!, it was  like a '50's "B" movie only with more swearing and more holes in the plot!

I'm sure you get the gist - over to you....................

As a child I read all of Enid Blyton's "Famous Five" books, most by candle-light under the blankets and fell in love with the girly Anne and the Tom-boy, George (Georgina).
When I was about fifteen, and we got a telly, my whole world was shattered by the actressessess they chose to portray my 'special' friends! Proper filletted, I was!

More recently, (Last Saturday) before going out on a (very rare) drinking binge with the fruit of my groins (and his bird), the said fruit recommended that I record Borat as it was awesome.
What a load of carp! Pffffft! It just disgusteth me, and I felt I had to wash my hands after watching it.

I will second that Borat trash. Everyone in my highschool hyped it up and I thought it was terrible.

It should have been 7 days and ended up being exactly 14 (we travelled home on the "same flight" a week late)!

It was a nightmare, people were spending an additional 147 Euros per day to stay in the same room etc., some folk were almost destitute after the second week! Me...........?? Well on the first day it happened they told us not to check out and to carry on as before (free & all inclusive) - we actually spent a lot less the second week than we did the first!

I highly recommend it to anyone
