Re: Wednesdays© ..................................... are vastly overrated
Any way, I went down the road to the park near the River (about 1.5 miles) where I missed a call from our very own Craig, and had to stop up against a tree (My legs don't reach the floor) to ring him back. Sorry we couldn't rendezvous pal. Then I went 2 miles down the river road to Waddington, and another 1.5 miles up a hill back to Clitheroe. Having completed this triangle successfully, I decided to go up the main street, still topless, dingalinging at everyone who might vaguely know me or someone like me. Just as I was going down the hill past Banana News, my friend Kimberly rang me.

Good everything to everybody, and all that!
At the moment I am thoroughly disappointed at "Time Series Analysis: Forecasting and Control" by Box/Jenkins/Reinsel. It didn't get any better after the 600th page!
Good evening, Mika! How many pages are there in total?
About 700. And I have three more books to go on the same subject
(no, not really reading them page to page... this will be a largish report work I need to complete for my studies, on applied digital signal processing applied to economic data)
Funnily enough, I was in the process of linking to a cracking pdf ebook on DSP from Analog Devices when my lappy took a huff - I think it remembered it from last time I read it!

It certainly is, and in it's time it's done more really clever techy stuff than most pretty computers could ever imagine or even manage

Yes Beek. Hoover the dust out the main processor every couple of weeks. Like it's owner, it still has funny turns now and a gain.
When I did that I scrapped the mother board and processor in mine. Something to do with static created by the vacuum.

Makes me glad we never got to Clitheroe on Saturday. If I had seen that, I would have needed a bottle of eye bleach.

I think it was struggling with all the pages I had open - 3 wed© related, the Daily Mirror crossword, a fully DSP book pdf (>600 pages) and google news. I guess it just can't multitask as well as me!

Are you been serious? If so, we need a picture of this.

I wonder what the neighbours think -" that bloke Tullochs got his Dyson running, and his foot raised on the draining board again"!

I seem to have two Firefox windows with 22 tabs put together, a couple of Acrobat readers, three XEmacs windows for editing, an R session with console + a couple of graph windows, three SSH windows to various servers, and a VLC player running a netradio...
And now it's about time to lock this machine and start walking home... will be back in a bit

Re: Wednesdays© ..................................... are vastly overrated
Evening all.
Dissapointing writings etc?
The first was a much publicised seafaring novel by Captain Puncher.......sank without trace.
THe second was this story......... never completed because the author decided to build a round tuit.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure. [W C Fields]
