Re: Wednesdays© ..................................... are vastly overrated

Any way, I went down the road to the  park near the River (about 1.5 miles) where I missed a call from our very own Craig, and had to stop up against a tree (My legs don't reach the floor) to ring him back. Sorry we couldn't rendezvous pal.
Then I went 2 miles down the river road to Waddington, and another 1.5 miles up a hill back to Clitheroe.
Having completed this triangle successfully, I decided to go up the main street, still topless, dingalinging at everyone who might vaguely know me or someone like me.
Just as I was going down the hill past Banana News, my friend Kimberly rang me.

    Poor me, never win owt!

Good everything to everybody, and all that!

At the moment I am thoroughly disappointed at "Time Series Analysis: Forecasting and Control" by Box/Jenkins/Reinsel. It didn't get any better after the 600th page!

Good evening, Mika! How many pages are there in total?

About 700. And I have three more books to go on the same subject Big Smile

(no, not really reading them page to page... this will be a largish report work I need to complete for my studies, on applied digital signal processing applied to economic data)

Funnily enough, I was in the process of linking to a cracking pdf ebook on DSP from Analog Devices when my lappy took a huff - I think it remembered it from last time I read it!Laughing

I seem to have two Firefox windows with 22 tabs put together, a couple of Acrobat readers, three XEmacs windows for editing, an R session with console + a couple of graph windows, three SSH windows to various servers, and a VLC player running a netradio...

And now it's about time to lock this machine and start walking home... will be back in a bit Smile

    Evening all.

    Dissapointing writings etc?

The first was a much publicised seafaring novel by Captain Puncher.......sank without trace.

THe second was this story......... never completed because the author decided to build a round tuit.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure. [W C Fields]
