    RIAA can one be made?

hi i was wondering if the RIAA that is built into the modern beograms (i.e BG4500/9500 etc) can be home made and fitted into an older deck (BG3000/3300) if so does anyone have a diagram and part's list?

    many thanks

    mark

    Kind Regards, Mark

Re: RIAA can one be made?

    Hi Mark,

I have to say that I am not very familiar with all B&O record decks, but I do know something about RIAA circuits. As long as there is a DC power supply (like +/- 15V), or room for a power supply inside the turntable, you can build in any RIAA circuitry you like. There are many circuit diagrams available on the internet and they can quite easy be made home as long as you have any experience in electronics.

    Regards,

    Bart.

You can make one - I think one of our members has done so. However a small external one will probably be much easier - you can get datalink to work using a separate wire.

maplins sell one in kit form by wellmann - i've had good results in a sony turntable separate mounting the board in the box  and using the motoe dc supply with a smoothing/hum redduction circuit

when are you to send pics of the beocord 3500 deck?
