    BeoGram 4002 ToneArm Zero Balancing

    Hi all,

I'm working on a BG4002, and need some clear instructions in English.  My original SM is in German, and my German is OK, but not to the technical level in the particular steps described in the manual.

Has anybody done this successfully before, and can give me step-by-step instructions to continue?

I've got this far that the centre bolt below adjusts something, but I'm not sure what to be looking for, and whether the MMC cartridge must be mounted or not, to give weight to the tonearm.

Obviously, the cartridge should be mounted when adjusting or the weight of the cartridge would have to be added
to what is set on the dial, making it impossible or at least very confusing to get right.

It's described in the service manual, can be download'ed by silver and gold members. Well
worth the small membership fee and Beoworld would be thankful for your support.
The manual found there is in english and the static balance is found on page 4-4.
