This is off-subject from your question but I was hoping you might be able to help me. I'm getting desperate.
I am replacing the 3 main caps in my beomaster 300-2 type 2402 and after having two of them un-wired (1 of the 3,000 and the 5,000) for almost 25 years, I am stumped on connecting them up to my new caps.
If you have looked at that area in yours you will see a lot of wires going to the main power cap, the 5,000uf one. The group the wires into clumps of like 4 to 6 wires and between that group and the ones going to my 3,000 uf output cap I have forgotten how they were combined.
I have the schematic but as you know it is very small and discolored slightly and have had a tough time determining whhich group of wires went where as they mix the colors quite a bit and don't seem to pay attention to pos/neg wires identification.
I was wondering if you had a picture of that area of your beomaster of it you could take one for me?
Ideally a photo looking down on the terminals so I could see the grouping of wires to the terminals would make short order of this.
I realize this is a lot to ask and I would be more then delighted to share something with you that you might need.
It seems like you might be a DIY guy too and I have some Cardas Quadlectric solder that goes for about $50/pound. I'd be hppy to send you a length of 10 feet or so for you delicate soldering needs. I have many parts and wires, and if you are interested, I probably have a part or two you might need. Just let me know.
Thanks again and sorry to bother you with this. My Beogram 4004 arrives today. I bought it from someone who just got it back from re-conditioning tuneup at B&O and it is in near mint condition so I am really aching to get my beomaster back up and running.
