Wink [;)] midrange speakers replacement Penta 6611

    hello B&O fans,

today i bought a Beosystem 6500 with a pair of Penta passive speakers type 6611, a very oldfashioned 1991 hifi system -yes i know-, but nowadays i can affort it, and it's used i my bed room (already have a dpl -dolby pro logic- system in the living room, arhhgghh - hate the sound of it ;) Got immideately rid of the phono player and tape deck. One thing for sure, this allmost 18 year old hifi set, is the best i heard in the past 10 years! As i already told, this hifi set with it's 6611 penta speakers sounds great, allthough 3 midrang speakers are dead (2 in the left, 1 in the right speaker). Not sure, my hearing is not perfect i admit, but some are midrange do not respond. Does anyone know where to buy new midrange speakers for the penta 6611 speakers?

many thanks and enjoy music! marcel

I hope you got a good price for the record player! I have seen these sell for over £500! Very desirable indeed. The cassette deck is also rather good but sells for very little.

The drivers are not that expensive though there are quite a few so the price does add up! If you ever get the chance of getting the Beolab 200 amplifiers for the Pentas at a decent price, get them! The Pentas need quite a bit of driving and the 6500 is just about up to it. The 200s are about twice the power so you get a bit of reserve.
