Backlight will be activated when the alarm clock is activated (set time) or whenever you touch the BeoTime.

Cool, looks like it can control my LC2s... I am sure I'll end up buying it. I wonder if, like the Beo5, I will have to take it to the dealer when I want to program a new alarm ;-)

The fact that the screens are so small and that it's just standard monochrome LCD makes it look cheap, but I like the innovative design.
Now that I'm used to my ceiling-projected time, it will be hard for me to come back to this conventionnal, small and not very convenient way to display the time...

I like it. Not sure if I would buy one, though. For programming my equipment I don´t need it and I don´t buy stuff just to own it...

can it display the time vertical, too? Would be nice to mount it on a wall like Beo 4 and 5 if not used :)
Can somebody upload the usermanual?? Please!? :-)
Does the audiosystem NEED the timer functionality or will the Beotime e.g. send "Radio on" command at 6:00 am?
Would be nice as if the old Beosound 1 has no timer function.

I saw an image of this a couple of months ago - i like it !! I do think it looks like a flute though.. LOL
As a vast majority of people 'take a sleepy swipe' at the alarm clock to turn it off - i hope it doesn't spend more time on the floor than on the bedside cabinet..
Love the fact it can turn on your AV. Nice touch. I think this will sell extremely well.

SOLD!!
This is bluddy brilliant. Very exciting product
Just one thing - if it costs more than 600AUS, it's going to be a stretch, i mean, come on, how much does it cost to manufacture one of these. Shouldn't be much more than a Beo4.

TWG:
do I understand the facts correct?
- Displays are all three backlit - Beotime can produce an alarm sound by itself or use B&O Equipment (TV, Audiosystem for Timer, Alarm switch on/off) - basic control of TV/Soundsystem
?
I will have a look at it in person and if it doesn't look and feel cheap I MUST buy it! this is great for the bedside!!! :-)

It seems we can buy it at the end of this year; christmass gift ? and if the leaflet is correct it won't cost more then 99 GBP because there are only two digets [xx's] above the article as the blinded price ? shall this be true ? I think not but hope so !
