    BV7-32 and Pc?

    Hi all

Im having trouble connecting my laptop to my bv7. Im using a regular vga connection between the two with a vga to dvi-i converter in the television. I have testet that the laptop gives a signal, but i just cant seem to get it onto the tele. I have tried to switch to "PC" etc on my Beo4...

Can anyone help me out here??

    kind regards

I thought "PC" was purely audio from the PC

My BEO4 manual (alphabetic appendix) says

"PC Select PC in order to use Beo4 to adjust the sound form a Personal Computer connected to your Bang & Olufsen BeoLink system."

I suspect you need to be using something like V.AUX to pick up an auxillary video source. You can add V.AUX to the LIST function by going therough the normal "add" function.

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Hi Odin

As manual says, you have to connect your laptop to AV4. In the connections menu, you have to activate the VGA option.

    I hope it helps.

    Hi Odin

Maybe the menu on your BV7 is not the same, but I remember it was an AV where you have the option to activate VGA. Don't need to use scart, just VGA to DV-I.

    Odin,

This menu is from a BV7-40 Mk3, but I owned a BV7-32 and I think I remember there was this option too. Maybe I am wrong.

I have seen today a BV7-32 Mk1 in my store. There is no VGA option in the menu. Dont know if in newer ones this option exists.

Ok i see. But i dont understand why i have the DVI-i input if i dosnt have the option of turning it on somehow. It dosnt make any sense to me!

So i actually dont know what to try next other than to go down to the local dealer and ask him about it :)

But thanks for all your help... it is greatly appreciated

    Hi again Quim..

I got it working :))) Finally. In the connections menu i had to (In the HDTV option for AV4) activate DVI-i... I dunno why i havnt seen that before.
