    Connecting MACbook to MX5000

I have an old MX5000 which I am very happy with.  It is an amazing TV and I'm not interested in upgrading to something flashier or more expensive.

I have a MACbook and I would love to connect it to the TV, but perhaps the TV is too old - I think I got it in 1993.

I'm not the most tech-savvy person in the world, so if replies could be dumbed down it would be great.

    Thanks,

    olavito

    Olavito,

don’t worry, that is quite simple. Unfortunately, you need a lot of cables and adapters.

    1. Apple mini-DVI to video adapter

    2. Audio cable, miniplug on one side, chinch plugs on the other

    3. Euro-AV to chinch adapter

Connect 1. and 2. with your mac and on the other side with the Euro-AV adapter. Once you’ve pluged in the Euro-AV adapter into a MX5000’s port everything should work the way you want. It’s a great way to use your mac for dvd playback or photos.

    Kind regards,

    Frank

I have never even heard of these cables!

I'll investigate and get back to you,

    Thanks,
