How to rip a gapless live CD
Hello, I'm using a Beomedia as a digital player and I have tried to rip in MP3, WMA and AAC format using WMP, Beoplayer, EAC and Itunes. I keep on having small gaps in between the tracks of the live CD's. Can I avoid this or do I have to get used to the idea that the BM1 is not capable of producing gapless music. Thanks

Re: How to rip a gapless live CD
Hi there.... I've had the same problem when using Beosound 2. It drove me crazy and I looked for a solution everywhere. I bought an Ipod touch. Beosound 3200 has the same issue, the main reason I just wouldn't buy one. Regards...
I wish I was the person my dog thinks I am.

Re: How to rip a gapless live CD
Hello sprocket, I'm 'glad' I'm not the only one because I started to think I used the wrong programs. I also think it's a shame that B&O is unable to come up with a proper solution. In another topic I asked the question if BM1 will get a new SW release, similar to the BM5. Maybe then the problem will be solved. I got no replies...

Re: How to rip a gapless live CD
Itunes actually can rip without gaps, however you have to use the aac format. Its not a thng that you can fix in the software, its a problem with the MP3 file format. Everyne who is using MP3 in their music player will have this problem. Cheers JK

I believe iTunes has supported gapless MP3's since version 7.

Re: How to rip a gapless live CD
I used the Itunes AAC ripper on one of my tests and playback was on BM which supports the AAC format, still I had this problem. So I can assume that the BM doesn't handle the AAC format like it should be.

Re: How to rip a gapless live CD
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gapless_playback correct, it works for mp3 too. i didnt know that. the wki is explaining the issue, the gap sits apparently in teh MP3, however there is a tag that contains the lenght so that it can be removed.
