As you know I have BV9 and if a connect DVD2 with HDMI ,wich more cable and wich AV shall I connect to BV9 so it will work in Linkroom?

V-mem. - it starts in Hdd contents

V.aux2 - Starts in tuner mode

DVD - starts in DVD mode

OK If you call DVD2 "DVD" in connection menu it works like a DVD when you turn it on, if it's called V-mem it works like a Hdd recorder. And V.aux it starts in time shift mode...

As you have HDR2 you would call it DVD because that is the function you will use.

If you connect DVD2 to AV2 f.ex. you use a scart cable and a HDMI cable to connect it with. Scart for controlling the DVD and for link room signal. HDMI for hi res. pic. on BV9. In the connection menu on BV9 you set source to DVD and HD input to the HDMI socket you have used. then when you use DVD2 in living room it use the HDMI connection and when your in link room it use the Scart connection.

So Beo4 command use scart?

Still, you need to have scart or at least cvbs, to be able to watch dvd in the linkroom. The videomaster needs cvbs to modulate the video over the RF-cable.

Yes but it also vil need the scart connection if you want to use it with the PUC controler

Thats correct. Scart is not used for using PUC.

So if I buy a Sony I use HDMI for BV9 and composite/scart för link

A videomaster with PUC-controller does not need pin 8. It knows if the player is on/off... But you will need the composite for linkrooms.

 

Going back to earlier posts, if the DVD2 is indeed a Philips DVDR7310H inside like Peter and David mentions. I don't mind to get one and hide it to save up for other Beolabs but do you think if Beo4 can controls it?

I shouldn't think Beo4 will control it, or it would also control other similar Philips products, and Philips remotes would then control certain B&O products. The code strings will be different, but please don't ask me what they are. I think you'll need to use two remotes: the Philips and Beo4 ... not a neat solution.

A DVD2 is not philips all the way. A beo4 is the only remote that works via scart.

It's possible that it could be controlled with the DVD controller, however I'm not sure if it's on the list of controllable players.
