    BM-Link sound quality.

    Hello,

I have connected a beoport to BC2. I use BM-link and It works fine with my macbook. But there is something wrong. The sound level is higher in the left side. I have tried to solve this problem testing into BM-link configuration: Sound, Balance,... but this doesn't work.

After I compare the sound between Beoport with Airport Express... I choice Airport Express, the sound is better. It's stranger, before I used PC-Beoport (Beoplayer) and I was very happy. I don't understand what has happened.

    Check your headphone jacks.

Once the left speaker didn't function at all when I inserted the headphone jack in the Airport Express. With some fiddling the left speaker suddenly came back to life...

    Some thing to try out.

    Good luck...

    Re: BM-Link sound quality.

Hello, and thanks for your reply.

Finally I checked the headphone jacks, ML,... but without luck.

I have a macbook that I use everyday at home and at work. When I arrive at home I connect the usb and headphone wires to beoport. I like very much to see the information on the BC2 display and also to control it from the BC2, but I have very problems... A lot of times, when I connect my macbook to beoport, the beolink system stops to work. I have to disconnect the power supply. Do you know what is the way for the system doesn't hang?

Since I have very problems with Mac-Beoport I use Airport Express (connected to A.Aux (BC2)). Then I press A.Aux and it just works perfect. My iPod Touch control the rest... Why do you connect the sound-out of airport express to beoport? The mac-beoport needs two wires: usb and minijack.

But I would like to control n.music (Beoport-mac) from BC2 without problems and feel the sound perfect... I'm very worried with this....

    Another question:

Does the BM-Link sound menu work for you? I can't use it, doesn't work anyone.

    This is the menu:

I have a similar setup like you have. The Airport Express is connected to our BS3200 (audio system). The beoport is connected to the BV7 and Mac Mini. I don't connect the AAE to the beoport. It was only to give you a clue what could be wrong.

I too encounter ML problems. Everyday the Mac Mini shuts down at 11:10pm. When I listen to CD, Radio or A.MEM (all from the BS3200)  after shut down of the Mac Mini the audio mutes. The CD will keep turning, or A.MEM keeps playing. Weird. But I know now the Mac Mini is to blame. So when the audio playback stops at 11:10pm I will select an other audio source and then back again, to start the audio feedback again.

The Mac Mini is our iTunes/Beoport media center. It is ON when we are awake. It will go to sleep when we do.

I can't comment on your other question. I don't use powerlink. So it will not work in our situation.
