Beosystem 7000 in a link room?

    Hi!

Is it possible to have a Beosystem 7000 in a link room working as a slave?

My other setup is a BV7+BS4 in the main room and a BC6 in one of my linkrooms were I want to put the BS7000.

My goal is to use the speakers in the BC6 for the BS7000.

Should the BS7000 be set to Option-0? (I don't think it's possible to set the BS7000 to option-5 or 6)

(I have a converter model 1611 for connecting the BS7000 to ML)

    So, is this possibe?

    Regards Ola

To my knowledge the non-Masterlink stereos can not be set to slave mode - But maybe somebody proofs me wrong on this forum.

    Exactly what I thought.

But what happens if i connect it as option-0?

Or is there any other solution?

Re: Beosystem 7000 in a link room?

BS 7000 slave mode (option 5, 6) is not possible. But what about setting the BC 6 to option 4, BS 7000 to option 1 or 2.

You can control your main system via Link commands and the BS 7000 as an audiomaster.

I have a BS 7000 in a linkroom with an MCL 2A in option 4 connected via an ML-MCL converter to my main system BV7 - BS 9000.

So I control my main system in the linkroom via link commands. The MCL 2A is connected to the AUX input of the BS 7000 via a Hi-Lo level converter. Works great.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for your replay!

What option is your BS 9000 set to?

    So mine should be:

    BV7 in option 2, BS4 in option 0

    BC6 in option 4, BS 7000 in option 2 (or 1?)

    Best regards

    Ola

Re: Beosystem 7000 in a link room?

    Hi Ola,

    my option settings are:

BV7 option 2, BS 9000 option 0 (mainroom standard configuration)

    linkroom: MCL2A option 4, BS 7000 option 1, MX 4000 option 1.

My BS 7000 is in option 1, because as you can see I have also an MX 4000 as a link TV, but not connected to the audiosystem.

In addition to that I have an MCL 2A in the mainroom in option 4, connected to the BS 7000 so I can control and listen to my BS 7000 (record player) in the mainroom via BS 9000.

For you BS 7000 in option 1 or 2 should both be fine, because the system won`t react to video LINK-commands.

    Good luck

    Stefan
