I'm about to buy a BS3-based setup.

I also plan to use a PS3 as Blue Ray player and Media Center unit.

My dealer told me that PS3 is present on the PUC list as a media device.

What do I need to add to the PS3 in order to control it with my Beo5, including the remote on/off function?

You need an IR sensor for the PS3 as it uses bluetooth for its own remote. This IR sensor plugs into the USB on the front of the PS3. I got it from the service department in Melbourne, Aust. Service called it a a "Dongle". You then run the IR blaster cable from the PS3 Dongle to the BS3.

You can also get it from Amazon online. It doesn't do the on/off function.

I noticed that the BT remote works from every room of my home.

So in a first step, it could be on/off with BT and the other fuctions with Beo5.
