Hi and welcome to the forum

Quick reply but the thing you are missing is called an RIAA box between the Beogram and Overture.

There are many aviable on the marked and and basically any box will do the job fine.

Any radio shop will mostly have such a box for sale.

    thanks...But

okay thats very helpful! BUT.. i have a pre-amp, and theres a gain knob, and 3 buttons one says 'MIC' one says 'AUX' and the other says 'MID', and then i have the input and output points.... a 4 pin 'IN' socket and another 4 pin 'OUT' socket.. plus red and white in and out points........ what should i have in where???? should all these points be full? or should the 4 pins be in only, or the red and white points only?

     Im so confused!!

Thanks for the really quick reply last time by the way!!

Not sure what sort of amp you have there! Sounds like a microphone amplifier which is different altogether. An RIAA will be a simple little box with an input and an output and no other controls. You can, if you have one, use an old integrated amplifier as long as it has an input designed for a record player. This would work by attacking the 1700 to the input and then attacking the Century or ouverture to the Tape out of the amplifier. You can pick up amplifiers like this at any flea market for about five pounds - or less! A dedicated RIAA would be better though!

    Re: great..

There is only one company who supply new cartridges for B&O Turnatables. See this link www.sound-smith.com . They are not cheap but sound wise are better than the originals
