    BC1 suround 5.1 module

I am trying to take off the module of the surround 5.1 of a BC1.

Due to the fact that some ( the upper ) of the attaching pins are broken the module as it is top heavy keeps dropping off.

I still have the original cap with out the module which doesnt need the pins and until I have ordered a new part I want to use at least the unit for TV etc. If I can get the module off its possible to close it up with the original cap.

Problem is I am unsure how the module is connected? So before I ruin something I guess some advice is very welcome.

As I see it the best way is to disconnect the module from the BC1 itself. I see a grey sort of connector with something that seems a safe- click system. its possible to manouvre it so it unlocks ?. So my guess is that it will free the connector from its base. If I am right the module is attached to the BC1 with a slim grey connector? When pulled the connector doesnt give way though ?

Am I missing something or should I use more force? All is not in the easiest spot and the connector seems a bit fragile?

Hopefully some one can help me out here,.....

Yes thats the way to do it you have to use some force ( don't pull the cable only in the plug) be careful when you want to plug it in again the connector can easily fall in to the TV, when you use the force needed to plug it in.

    Re: BC1 suround 5.1 module

Thank you for the reply Stig.

I managed last night to squeese a small O ring on one side so its stuck and wont fall off and it wont damage anything. In the end I was able to look some TV.  Today I ordered a new part at the nearest dealer and in a few days I will have ago at replacing it.

I pondered if I should screw some small screws in the lid but ,....as it was purchased brand new , maybe its better to contain my practical skills towards replacing ;)

btw. How does your screen look like ? Mine was ordered with AR screen when it was bought,.....but compared to my MX3500 the screen isnt as black as the MX3500 ?

Actually I like the MX screen when its off better because the BC1 has in my view a bit of that old grey tube appearance ?

So i am wondering is it just mine or is yours simular and/or are all BC1 like that?
