    BeoVision 2000 speaker foam rot

Both speakers on my BeoVision 2000 have suffered foam rot, and therefore have bits missing. I suspect that refoaming such small drivers is not practical - are the originals, or something very similar still available?

Indeed.Part No 8480233.You'll need to order them via your local "Beosuit",and they are not cheap! Expect to pay about £20 each. There are other drivers that will physically fit,but they won't sound as good!

    Regards,

    Nick

Thank you, Nick. Do I take it that these drivers were made specifically for B&O, and that's why they are the only source?

Yes indeed, they were made by ITT in Germany, but the spec is better than the standard telly speakers. You can buy a speaker unit that will fit,and in fact looks very much like the original, for about half the B&O price.I was dissapointed with the sound though!

The original drivers together with the special sound tubes they fit into, give the telly that distinctive good sound.Great little telly's too!

    Nick
